Mural - Noisy Waters Mural Festival

BELLINGHAM, WA - AUGUST 2023

The meaning behind “Noisy Waters” -

The word “Whatcom” is derived from the Lhaq’temish word Xwot’qom, which translates to “noisy water.” The Noisy Waters Mural Festival aims to make noise in Bellingham [Whatcom County] by hosting a confluence of vibrant muralists and artists …and that it did.

I’m grateful to have been a part of something so impactful. The friendships made, the creative synergy, and the undeniable positive energy this festival brought to the community—it’s hard to put into words how significant it truly was.

Murals are my ultimate artistic expression—a chance to turn blank walls into vibrant, immersive art inspired by nature and landscapes, inviting people to pause and reconnect with nature.
