Interwoven is a collaborative fusion of abstract expression and landscape realism by artists Ivan Colin and Darcie Gray. Painted live during New Tide, the launch celebration for Paper Whale’s new location, the piece reflects the harmony that emerges when distinct creative visions merge in real time.

Darcie’s detailed brushwork evokes a serene alpine landscape, including snowy peaks, moonlit skies, and towering trees. Ivan’s abstract columns echo the organic flow and vertical rhythm of the forest, bringing movement and energy into the scene. These two worlds meet at the center, forming a visual dialogue between structure and wildness, intention and intuition.

A heartfelt thank you to Paper Whale and the Noisy Waters Mural Festival for making projects like this possible in our community.
